Jule Stress and relief

Every Yule / Christmas Season I swear that I am better prepared, get gifts and parcels ready earlier and stop going to markets and cons as an exhibitor December 15 passed.

This year, I have finally managed this fairly well, which is a positive thing.

Of course, how could it be different? There are unforeseen complications: Minggy has caught a serious cold, sneezes, and has wet, swollen, and inflamed eyes. So went to the vet with him this morning. He got two shots, to be renewed next Tuesday.

Currently, he is on my lap and feels confident. I am happy that I made this effort for him. Its my Minggy. He's priceless.

Overall, I am feeling extremely tired and exhausted. Had a lot to do this winter season. Due to the poor Christmas season, I am also a bit frustrated because I didn't sell much, just like many artists and crafters.

On the other hand, all the end-year bills are coming in and they're out of any proportion. Tomorrow I will get the electricity bill. I'm currently paying 220 € per month, but I think it'll get higher from now on to pay off the new due.

All accounts made, I will not be able to attend the book fair at Malemort in February. The train would be 200 and Hotel, another 240,00

So 440 in total of charges. Even if I'd sell a lot of books there (in 23 I indeed did) It would only over the charges, which means it would leave me without money AND without books. That is not what I should aim for.

In 2023, I will limit my travel and only attend events that are nearby and have low booth fees.

I wish you a blessed Jule / Christmas time.

The Verdict

I and my mom went to the neurologist today to obtain the results of the multiple exams she had to go through. The verdict came like a sledge...
